HOW THE MATH RUNS

  1. concentration = vial mg × 1000 ÷ water mL
  2. draw mL = desired mcg ÷ concentration
  3. U-100 units = draw mL × 100
  4. Syringe capacity changes the maximum volume it can hold, not the U-100 conversion.
